The Hotel Palazzo Grillo, situated in the Old City of Genoa, Italy is a UNESCO heritage site beautifully illustrating the Genoese appreciation of art, architecture and culture.<\/p>\n

Originally constructed in 1545 by Domenico Grillo, the building suffered serious neglect over the centuries but has now been completely restored under the auspices of Le Nuvole group to become a luxury hotel offering guests a comfortable and modern experience.<\/p>\n

The intimate 25 room hotel, which opens to the public in April, is simply but elegantly furnished with contemporary interiors to compliment the vaulted ceilings, frescoes and columns throughout. A suspended Wireflow Lineal<\/strong><\/a> designed by Arik Levy greets guests in reception, its sculptural functionality setting the tone for a sophisticated marriage of the old and the new.<\/p>\n

Cozy guest rooms are outfitted with light-hearted details, featuring I.cono<\/strong><\/a> table lamps designed by Lievore Altherr Molina and a floor lamp from the Warm<\/strong><\/a> collection by Ramos and Bassols for seating areas.<\/p>\n

The hotel library and common areas also feature the minimalist Warm<\/strong><\/a>, while several Skan<\/strong><\/a> pendants, also designed by Lievore Altherr Molina, are used to light the attic breakfast nook complement the cozy rediscovered space that provides views over the bell towers of Genoa\u2019s historical centre.<\/p>\n
