When light and terrace furniture come together the result is Empty. Not so much a fusion of furniture and lighting, rather a meeting of architecture and lighting. Empty allows for versatile furniture configurations with groupings of stools and side tables that help organize the terrace.

Empty throws a soft indirect light over terrace flooring and establishes islands of illumination. Designed by Xuclà the concrete finish lends gravitas and lightness to terrace layouts.

With two different models to choose from the Break floor collection of terrace lights is a subtle but powerful addition to outdoor spaces. By day the concrete forms look as if they are growing out of the ground, helping to define terrace perimeters.

When dusk arrives another entirely different function is unveiled. Break is a Xuclà & Alemany design for Vibia that helps create moody atmospheres with its directional lighting.

As its name suggests the Palo Alto design adds another dimension to terrace utility. Individual or grouped light standards throw a soft put directed light over the terrace from above. The right-angled version of Palo Alto suggests an invisible ceiling while the uptilted version has a wider lighting radius and suggests an organic quality.

The Xuclà design for Vibia blends seamlessly with landscapes while a closer look reveals its flawless formal expression in a brown colored steel casing.

Playful and suggestive the Meridiano outdoor wall light projects a soft pattern of light and shade over vertical surfaces. The Jordi Vilardell & Meritxell Vidal design is finished in steel and aluminium.

The slightly convex discs can be grouped or used individually, held off the wall to allow lighting to filter through its spokes. Meridano helps create a feature wall that adds a focal point to the terrace. The effect is decorative yet functional, soft yet powerful.
