My Pick : Poesis Design

This pick comes from Pilar Profitt  and Robert Bristow of Poesis Design. Profitt and Bristow are the team behind several beautiful restoration projects like The Quirk Hotel and Scoville Memorial Library.

After admitting they are fans of many Vibia products, they shared with us their absolute top pick is one of our favorite Arik Levy designs:

“I must say that the Wireflow Chandelier has found its way into two of our recent projects. Both projects feature dramatic historic vaulted ceilings.  I’s lightness accentuates the mass of the building and airiness of the space.  It doesn’t lower the ceiling:  it’s the un-chandelier!”

The Quirk Hotel, Richmond VA

Set in the heart of The Broad Street Commercial Historic District, the Quirk Hotel was originally constructed in 1916 as the city’s finest department store, J.B. Mosby & Co.

The Wireflow Chandelier hangs just over reception, complimenting the vintage pieces in the lobby while adhering to the overall design code. Its elegant shape parallels the structure of a classical chandelier, acting as a transitional piece into the age of more contemporary forms and technology.
