The recently completed project which measures 167 square metres includes a variety of spaces that range from reception area to private and shared workspaces, meeting room as well as a fully equipped kitchen and samples area.Several Vibia lighting collections have been included in the fit-out that represent the signature style of C’est Ici at the very heart of their creative operations. C’est Ici founder Monica Arango is an advocate for the creative energy of people working and collaborating in a shared physical space. That belief informs every aspect of the project, from the abundant natural lighting to the generous workstations. Designers interact with one another within formal and informal scenarios. Lighting is critical to the ambience of the shared kitchen and formal reception area where customised configurations adapt to the space. The desktops also provide a surface for playful and sculptural lighting to spark inspiration and conversation. Three hanging Flamingo lamps by Antoni Arola for Vibia are clustered around a seating area with a coffee table that defines the reception area. Clients and staff are greeted by the adjustable fittings on entering the office with their disk-shaped diffusors and metallic counterweights. Gold accents combined with the crisp white sculptural forms of the lamps add a decorative feature that delineates the space. The earthy colour palette of the Plusminus lighting installation reflects the marble table and upholstered stools within the kitchen area. Designed by the Diez Office for Vibia the collection allows for interior designers to tailor the system to individual spaces. Here four spheres of differing sizes are strung from a ceiling mounted rail by a taught fabric strap illuminating the counter below. The combination of glowing light and textile strap adds a warmth and the cosy sensation of home. The intriguing conical shape of the Africa portable lamp with its elongated body and tilted beam invite the touch. This practical lamp designed by Francisco Gomez Paz can be moved around at will, throwing light on problem solving and selecting samples. The colour, texture and dimensions of Africa add a playful counterpoint to the more sober office furniture.
