Diez Office

Stefan Diez, raised in a family of carpenters, was deeply influenced by craftsmanship in his industrial design journey. He studied under Richard Sapper at the State Academy of Fine Arts Stuttgart and worked with Konstantin Grcic before founding his studio in 2002. Diez taught industrial design at HFG Karlsruhe (2007-2014) and later at the School of Industrial Design in Lund, Sweden.

In 2008, he set up his studio in a renovated joinery, combining hands-on experimentation with technical expertise. With a team of local craftsmen and specialists, DIEZ OFFICE focuses on transforming ideas into high-quality products. Diez has created award-winning designs for brands like e15, emu, Hay, and Rosenthal, including the innovative Plusminus and Plusminus Solo collections for Vibia.

When rooted in craftsmanship and technical precision, designs projects transform material experimentation into refined, sculptural lighting that seamlessly bridges innovation, function, and aesthetic excellence in contemporary design.
