Life in Colour: Highlights from Copenhagen’s 3DaysofDesign

Since its inception in 2013, Copenhagen’s 3daysofdesign festival has continued to grow, from a small design event held in an old warehouse overlooking Copenhagen’s waterfront to the most significant annual design festival in Scandinavia. Today, it extends across the entire city and is a benchmark for the global design industry. This year Vibia participated in the event with the launch of a brand new exhibition, “Instantánea,” which showcased its latest collections while introducing a vibrant expansion to Vibia’s colour palette.

Located at Borgergade 17E, Copenhagen, “Instantánea” celebrates the beauty of everyday life, exploring how light can shape our perceptions and emotions, turning fleeting moments into lasting memories. A unique collaboration between Note Design Studio and Vibia, it is an invitation to pause and appreciate the beauty of the moment, to see how light accompanies and enhances our daily lives.

On 12th June we welcomed visitors to an exclusive opening night event: “Vibia + Friends”. Guests were invited to explore the exhibition, which took them on a journey through the world of Vibia lighting.

The exhibition spans a series of minimalist domestic scenarios presented as pure, abstract forms. Highlighting the simplicity and elegance of Vibia’s iconic collections, each space is distinguished by a single hue from Vibia’s Chromatica palette.

“Instantánea” is not just about seeing; it’s about becoming part of the ambience, activating the senses and evoking positive emotions: a green living room presents a comfortable yet refreshing atmosphere, illuminated by crisp, bright white light; the bar area is lively and social, its beige hue invigorated by a warm and sunny glow.

Enhanced by soft, shimmering and low-level luminescence, the Terra Red bedroom beckons guests to mingle and unwind; and, the dining room introduces a mystical note, a serene blue glow permeating the space with a sense of calm.

By creating a flexible palette, we offer a sense of freedom and creativity to the user. Each mood is unique, characterised by a feeling that can be activated at any hour, and based on a deep analysis of colour and temperature in relation to human comfort and wellbeing.
