Play With… Wireflow

Created as a customisable system of hanging lamps, Wireflow offers a kit of parts that designers can arrange to suit specific spaces. Here, we share inspired examples of the collection in myriad settings.

Tracing an airy, three-dimensional outline, a trio of Wireflow Volumetric lamps illuminates a lounge area. Each pendant strikes a unique pose in a range of geometric silhouettes that demonstrates Wireflow’s endless customisation possibilities. The distinct shapes draw the eye to different seating areas, while still maintaining a cohesive design theme.

An oversized Wireflow chandelier makes a striking statement in the multilevel stairway of an entrance area. Designers created a cascading pendant that spans three stories, both brightening and unifying the vertiginous space. Each tier is progressively thinner and fitted with fewer light terminals, creating a svelte profile that recalls an elegant exclamation mark.

Suspended above two bar counters, Wireflow Lineal lamps double as pieces of modern art with lean, two-dimensional profiles. Positioned in perfect proportion to the tables they illuminate, their stepped height enhances an abstract appearance while defining each table.

True to its name, Wireflow Free-Form adapts easily to a range of styles and settings. It’s powered by an electrical outlet and can be configured in countless spatial arrangements with a choice of one to nine LED light points and a wall or ceiling canopy.

In a meeting room, Free-Form conjures the look of a spindly spider with cables branching out to encompass different sections of the conference table. Each LED cluster coincides with the seating below, providing pinpoint illumination and a crown of light overhead.

Free-Form also spans the corner of an office, illuminating the desk as well as the rear wall and its shelving. Its distinctive ribbed design becomes an extension of the architecture and acts like a bridge that connects the two parts of the room.

In a living room, Free-Form features just three simple cables, yet its disparate pattern creates an unexpected visual rhythm along the wall. The ultra-minimalist design is balanced by a graphic presence, adding an intriguing accent to the room.

Free-Form appears to sprout from the ceiling in a restaurant. An intricate web of wires overhead diverges to take up position above two separate seating areas. Three solitary cables emphasize the individual tables below, while Free-Form’s counterpart hangs in pairs over a high counter. The attitude is both improvised and intentional, calling attention to different seating areas by way of distinct groupings.
