Cecilie Manz
Cecilie Manz is a Danish designer based in Copenhagen. She trained at The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts – The School of Design, with studies at the University of Art and Design in Helsinki, and graduated in 1997. A year later, she founded her own studio in the Danish capital.
Her work spans furniture, tableware, lighting and electronics, alongside experimental prototypes and sculptural one-offs. Her approach revolves around simplicity and the process of working towards pure, aesthetic and functional objects.
With Vibia, she has created Duna, a forthcoming collection that explores the dialogue between material and light through washi paper, combining a light, atmospheric presence with direct, functional Illumination.
