Sebastian Herkner
Sebastian Herkner studied Product Design at HfG Offenbach University, focusing on materials, colors, and textures. He founded his studio in 2006 and has since designed furniture, lamps, and interior architecture, earning awards like the IF Award, Iconic Award, and EDIDA. Named "Designer of the Year" by Maison&Objet in 2019, Herkner’s work emphasizes balance, intuition, and a dialogue between disciplines. He seeks out traditional crafts and techniques, creating designs that engage the senses and reflect his empathy for people. Herkner designed the Kontorno and Class collections for Vibia.

Materiality, craft, and emotion converge to transform lighting into a tactile, sensory experience that enhances space through an intuitive dialogue between form, texture, and illumination.
